Kerry Englert has partnered with Marzano Research as a consultant since 2016. Her work has included leading projects with state education agency Indian education directors to develop culturally relevant needs assessments that reflect the priorities of Native communities and help provide focused support to schools.
Kerry brings 25 years of expertise in education research. She is the President of Seneca Consulting, a small woman-owned business that provides psychometrics, program evaluation, and quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis services. Her current work includes supporting the University of Hawai’i in building statewide assessments for Hawaiian language immersion schools for federal and state accountability. In this role, she leads the psychometric team in constructing assessments that prioritize the values and worldview of the Hawaiian language community while ensuring the results provide relevant and high-quality information to stakeholders. She is also leading a team of consultants to build a validity framework and supportive evidence for the Reading Horizons Discovery assessments.
Kerry earned a doctorate in education research from the University of Colorado, with an emphasis on psychometrics and statistical methodology. She also holds a master’s degree in education from the University of Chicago, with an emphasis on statistics.
