Chief Operating and Financial Officer
Hello there! I am Joy, and here at Marzano Research, I serve as the chief operating and financial officer and am one of three owners of the company. In my role, I ensure that operations closely connect with our programmatic work in support of Marzano Research’s mission and that the company provides a high-quality infrastructure to support our staff.
I have almost four decades of experience in operations, finance, and contracting for professional services firms. My expertise covers a broad range of government contracting skills, including compliance, audit, budgeting and forecasting, process improvement and internal controls, system implementation, accounting, contracts, and procurement. I earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Principia College in Illinois.
I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and made my way west after college. I have lived in California and Colorado, and currently live in Oregon with my partner and our two Australian Shepherds, Olaf and Milo. I like being active, so in my free time, you will likely find me hiking or doing all things on and near the water.
