Hello! I’m Abby Andres, PhD. I am honored to serve as the Head of Strategy and Communications at Marzano Research. My professional journey includes time spent in high school and college classrooms, university research and educator support, state government leadership, building education technology and support businesses, and education and assessment innovation, all rooted in a deep commitment to advancing educational equity. I bring experience in transforming state K-12, education technology, and higher education systems to better meet the needs of all students and elevate the role of teachers as professionals. In my role, I help ensure that strategic vision and equity remain central to the work we do here at Marzano Research. My multifaceted background allows me to offer a unique perspective on every project, fostering innovation. 

Educational Background: 

  • PhD in Political Science with an emphasis in Education Policy from the University of South Dakota 
  • MS in Industrial Engineering with an emphasis on Large Scale Systems from New Mexico State University 
  • MA in Sociology with an emphasis on Organizational Behavior and Change Management from New Mexico State University

Originally from South Dakota, I spent many years in the desert Southwest and now reside in Oregon with my spouse, parents, and frequent visits from two adult children who think we are still cool enough to spend time with.
